Who is the “Data Controller” under The Personal Data Protection Law No.24 of 2023?

Any natural or legal person, located inside or outside the Kingdom, who has the data under their custody. (example: Orange Jordan)

Who is the “Data Processor” under The Personal Data Protection Law No.24 of 2023?

Any natural or legal person responsible for processing the data. (example: Orange Jordan partners or service providers)

Who is the “Data Recipient” under The Personal Data Protection Law No.24 of 2023?

Any natural or legal person located inside or outside the Kingdom, to whom data is transferred or exchanged by the data controller. (example: Orange SA)

The Data Controller must contractually specify to the Data Processor how to process and store personal data in a compliant manner.

Whereas the Data Recipient automatically has the same compliance obligations as the Data Controller.
